Biography
Robert’s legal practice centers on governmental and administrative law, with an emphasis on healthcare, public health, and compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements. This includes experience in the Alabama bid and ethics laws, Uniform Guidance related to the utilization of federal grant funds, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and the Alabama Notifiable Disease Law, among other regulatory frameworks. He has played a role in creating documentation, templates, and procedures designed to assist his clients in achieving and maintaining regulatory compliance. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Robert assisted his clients in navigating shifting governmental mandates and seldom-utilized public health regulations.
During law school, Robert was a distinguished member of the Editorial Board for the Alabama Law Review, where he also held the position of Acquisitions Editor. His student note, which provided a comprehensive multi-state analysis of gambling asset forfeiture laws, was selected for publication in the Alabama Law Review Online. Robert served on the Campbell Moot Court Board and participated in the Alabama Student Bar Association. His academic performance was recognized through the Hugo L. Black Scholar Award.
